Custom Program Design

Our specialty is personalized one on one instruction, and custom program design. We design programs for any training situation, using our fully equipped one on one training studio, or whatever equipment the client has available. We have over 8000 hours of one on one training experience, and we apply that experience in designing all of our exercise programs. Your goals, your desire to work, ability to recover, and any possible limitations you may have are all equally considered in our program design.

We have long believed in functional training, but more importantly, we believe in intelligent training. It makes very little sense to jump on every training trend as soon as it happens. Using different equipment and different training philosophies every week may indeed keep the exercises from getting stale, but they also tend to confuse rather than simplify your workouts. We do not abandon scientifically valid exercise programs because of a new "Hollywood" trend. We believe a properly designed program will give our clients the benefits they want, without confusing them with a different direction every time they come in. We have found that clients can be slightly overwhelmed when presented with too many exercises, and injuries can result from confusing joint positions from similar exercises. Science has not shown any benefits from doing four times as much work as is necessary. Think about it: Would you drive four times as far as you currently drive to get to work every day? Probably not…

Our functional approach has ALWAYS incorporated maximizing time under tension, improving core strength, functional flexibility, joint strength, and balance. We have done this without resorting to gimmicks and gadgets. We do use some very specific training equipment, but much to our delight, the equipment and techniques we have been using for the last nine years have found their way into the mainstream in various ways. We believe in common sense and science.
Our workout approach follows a path similar to Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do martial arts approach. He believed that no single martial art encompassed his ideal program. He found his greatest success using what he determined were the most effective techniques from all of the forms available to him. He borrowed, explored, expanded, and improved upon every aspect of his training. His results were legend.

Our approach is not as earth shattering as Bruce Lee’s, but our thought process is the same: how to maximize the best parts of numerous training philosophies, incorporate the techniques into our own personal workouts to find the most effective ways to use them, and learn the best way to teach others the benefits.

Our workouts are dynamic, educational, safe, and most importantly, productive. We incorporate techniques and benefits found in yoga, Pilates, bodybuilding, balance training, powerlifting, sport specific training, martial arts, and more. That is why we have successfully designed programs for people of all body types and abilities, making them fun, efficient, challenging, and capable of producing the results they expect and deserve!
